Welcome to the Lone Star Division Rotary Leadership Institute
As Rotaractors and Rotarians, you each lead in various ways - whether in your community, your profession, or your everyday life.  At Lone Star RLI, our mission is to equip you with the tools and skills needed to excel as a club member, club leader, district-level leader and even in your profession.

We are a collaboration of Rotary Districts 5520, 5710, 5790, 5810, 5840, 5870, 5890, 5910, and 5930.  Any Rotarian or Rotaractor can attend an RLI session presented by any of our Lone Star Division districts.

Like any pursuit, the deeper your understanding, the more engaging and rewarding it becomes. Rotary is no exception - the more effort you invest, the greater the rewards.  RLI is here to help you unlock that potential. Studies show that RLI graduates are more likely to stay involved and take on greater roles within Rotary than any other group.

These Rotary leaders are stepping forward with new confidence, new skills, and a better understanding of the practical and responsible use of AI to support their Rotary Clubs.

We extend our deepest gratitude to Dr. Zehra Surani (D5930 PDG) and Dr. Victoria Farrer-Myers (D5790 AG-Elect) for their outstanding leadership in guiding our Rotarians through the thoughtful and transformative world of artificial intelligence — equipping us with the knowledge, confidence, and hands-on skills to elevate everything from club operations and membership engagement to service projects and communications. Their commitment to ensuring AI is embraced responsibly and in alignment with Rotary's core values has truly empowered our attendees to lead with purpose and innovation in an ever-evolving world.

OUR LSRLI DIVISION'S ARTICLE FEATURED IN THE JULY 2026 NEWSLETTER OF ROTARY LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE INTERNATIONAL

Big congratulations to PDG Dr. Zehra Surani ("Dr. Z")! Her article, "From Curiosity to Confidence: Preparing Rotarians for an AI-Driven World," was featured in the July 2026 RLI International newsletter — putting the Lone Star Division on the global RLI stage!

The piece spotlighted our division's groundbreaking AI graduate course, one of the first of its kind in the RLI system, and captured something special: Rotarians approaching artificial intelligence not with fear, but with curiosity and purpose.

A huge thank-you also goes to Sherri Muniz, who built the curriculum from the ground up, and to co-facilitators Dr. Z and Dr. Victoria Farrar-Myers ("Dr. F-M"), whose leadership made the course's first offering such a success.

This course is being offered again on October 20 & 22, 2026 -
